ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
MRC is a Christian charity for disabled children in Kenya.
MRC provides comprehensive care for disabled and disadvantaged children, encompassing physical, spiritual and emotional rehabilitation. Our vision is to see these children reach their full potential and to lead the way in building a local society where disabled children are loved, valued, safe and nurtured. To achieve this, we partner with other disability projects, helping to restore the lives of some of the world’s most marginalised children.
WHAT WE DO
MRC cares for and rehabilitates disabled children, including reaching out to those at risk in their communities
We provide medical care, rehabilitation and education for children in our care.
Through workshops, advocacy, disability support groups and collaborative relationships, we’re working to:
combat lack of knowledge and cultural beliefs that leave disabled children at risk of harm.
teach parents and carers of children with disabilities how to care for a disabled child.
empower families with ways to earn a living and provide for themselves so they are better able to look after their children.
mobilise local churches to teach about child protection and lead the way in creating societies where disabled children can flourish.
GET INVOLVED
There are many ways you can be part of MRC. For example, pray for us, make a financial gift to help us reach more marginalised children, or become a MRC Ambassador.
